Cicely Pflieger, CEO, Instructor

Cicely has been in the medical field since 2003. She started her journey as an EMT. She has many years of experience in EMS and in the emergency department. She also became a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant and worked in multiple specialties to include cardiology, neurology, and orthopedic surgery. Cicely obtained a Bachelor of science in Public Health from the University of South Florida. She has a robust background of instructing others from homeschool English and math to emergency medicine. She has experience tutoring others in the challenging subject of EMT curriculum. She has also been teaching CPR and First Aid to medical and non-medical people for several years. Cicely’s passion for education and love for people make her a wonderful instructor. She has the ability to bond with individuals from all walks of life and is excited when students truly understand a topic.

Shane Pflieger, COO, Instructor

Shane is our lead instructor and has almost 30 years of experience in emergency medicine and cardiovascular care. He started his journey as an Army Medic then after serving his country he became a civilian Paramedic and Critical Care Flight Paramedic where he spent over 20 years serving his community. More recently he has worked as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist where he is a part of a team that performs life-saving procedures for patients experiencing cardiovascular emergencies, such as heart attacks. After earning his Bachelor of Science in Public Health from the University of South Florida, he became passionate about providing the community with the proper techniques to save lives. Shane has also spent many years educating others as a Field Training Officer, Preceptor, Lead EMT instructor, and CPR/First Aid Instructor. His natural ability to lead coupled with his passion to ‘do good medicine,’ make him an outstanding instructor.
